06.29.09: Professional Property Management Honored by Wisconsin Rural Development
USDA Rural Development Acting State Director, Lori Wells, announced the selection of Portage Square Apartments and Shawano Square Apartments as recipients of Rural Development's Award of Excellance, in recognition of their continued dedication to providing affordable housing to the residents of rural Wisconsin. Both properties are managed by Professional Property Management, LLC (PPM).
The Award of Excellance is presented each year during June, in conjunction with National Homeownership Month, to Multi-Family Housing properties that continuously demonstrate their commitment to providing quality, affordable housing to the tenants they serve. Rural Housing Program Director David Schwobe presented the awards to Gerald Walters, Director of Property Management for PPM, at separate recognition ceremonies held at each property. After remarking that Rural Development was honered to recognize each property for providing a valuable asset to their rural communities, Scwobe stated that both complexes have, "enabled numerous individuals and families to acquire safe, decent, and affordable housing. Having a dependable place to call home is an important investment and serves as a catalyst for strong, stable communities. USDA Rural Development is proud to present them with this well-desreved award."
Also present at the ceremonies were PPM Site Managers Elizabeth Duffy (Portage Square) and Justine Peterson (Shawano Square) along with PPM Area Manager Dennis Cook.
Professional Property Management has received the Award of Excellance in Wisconsin for three separate properties in the last two years.
